Relationship of Cholinesterase Activity with Blood Glucose Levels Due to Pesticide Exposure to Farmers in Mlokorejo Village
نویسندگان
چکیده
Increase in blood glucose levels can be caused by the long-term use of pesticides farmers. This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between activity cholinesterase as an indicator exposure and farmers Mlokorejo Village, Jember Regency. The research method observational-analytic with cross-sectional design. Data form general characteristics sample were obtained through interviews, while data at Biochemical Laboratory Faculty Medicine, University. size this 30 samples. All samples are having increased cholinesterase. Most normal levels. Based on results statistical analysis using Spearman test (a= 0.05), it was concluded that no significant two variables (p = 0,191).

Biological monitoring of genotoxicity to organophosphate pesticide exposure among rice farmers: Exposure-effect continuum study
Background: This study has used biomarker of exposure-effect continuum to examine the biological characteristics of organophosphate (OP) toxicity and its genotoxic effect among rice farmers. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 160 pesticide exposed rice farmers and 160 adults from the fishing village as the unexposed group. They share the common socio-economical ...
متن کاملPlasma Cholinesterase Levels of Nepalese Farmers Following Exposure to Organophosphate Pesticides
Background Farmers in developing countries use highly toxic organophosphate pesticides. Thus, the aim of this study was to compare plasma cholinesterase (PChE) enzyme activity before and after exposure to organophosphate pesticides in a real-life setting. Methods This was a prospective study conducted on 25 farmers spraying organophosphate pesticide in their farm. The PChE level was measured ...
متن کاملEffects of stress pretreatment on the dynamics of blood cholinesterase activity after exposure to an organophosphorus pesticide in the rat.
A single i.p. administration of 1.0 mg/kg of chlorphenvinphos (CVP), an organophosphorus pesticide, results in an acute stress response, evidenced by a marked (6-7 fold) rise in plasma corticosterone (CORT) concentration, and a diminished behavioural sensitivity to amphetamine (AMPH) three weeks postexposure. Surprisingly, in rats subjected to a single series of inescapable electric footshocks ...
